Gear

You’re not going far in your Photography without the right photography gear. Gear is not going to make you a better photographer, but it will certainly help in your endeavour.

I am not going to review any gear I own, as there are plenty of reviews out there for every  gadget under the sun, but, I am just going to list the gear I use in case you ever wondered what goes in my bag.

Cameras

DSLRs & Compact

Nikon D800: My main full frame DSLR. Versatile and Capable of anything I throw at it.

Nikon D80: My first DSLR. Old but still produces sharp images if coupled with a sharp lens.

Sony RX100 IV: Professional photographer camera in a small pocketable body. Best camera for when you don’t want to carry heavy equipments around.

  • Billingham Hadley One (Black): Top quality material and build. Small in size, making it perfect for traveling, yet can easily hold full frame body with 2 lenses, filters and other essentials accessories.

Flashes

Speed Lights & Diffusers

I haven’t got involved deeply in Flash photography, however, SpeedLight is almost a must in every photographer bag (Because you never know when you will need one, right?)

  • Nikon SB 700: Easy to use and have good specifications for starting up in Flash photography. It comes with pluggable diffusers with different colours.
  • Gary Fong collapsible Lightsphere Flash Diffuser: When starting with Flash photography, this gadget is almost a must. Diffusers are great way to play with light and explore different ways to shoot your subject.
